Web2.0ERC Project

The Web 2.0ERC European Union project will build simplified Web 2.0 tools for educators and will help educators use these tools in their teaching.

The project will include a number of phases these include:

  • Research and analysis
  • Development of resources
  • Testing / piloting of resources
  • Launch of the resources

The work will include:

  • A Systematic Review of Web2.0 Tools for Education
    • Including a review of research that has been produced on the use of Web2.0 tools for education.
    • An identification and evaluation from an education perspective of Web2.0 tools that are appropriate for education.
    • To publish details of the evaluation on the ERC web site.
    • To produce a series of ‘How to’ guides to show how the most useful tools for education can be used.
  • To develop an ‘Open Source’ Web 2.0 Educational Platform
  • The Development of a pedagogic framework with a set of pedagogic guides with instructional videos
  • Teacher training courses will be developed and run
  • All the resources produced will be piloted in institutions that cover different levels of education. The results will be evaluated.
  • Best Practice Guides and Use Case Scenarios will be developed
