The Web 2.0ERC European Union project will build simplified Web 2.0 tools for educators and will help educators use these tools in their teaching.

The Poznań University of Economics (approx. 16,000 students) is considered to be one of the best universities of economics in Poland. The Department of Information Technology (DIT) has 16 research staff with technical education in computer science and engineering. DIT conducts research in the following areas: Virtual reality and multimedia; Agent technology for mobile assistance; Electronic negotiations; Application of electronic business technologies to supply chain management. PUE has been involved in a number of projects focused on applying VR/AR and multimedia techniques to the education purposes. Currently PUE is commercialising results of the European project ARCO providing institutions with a unique suite of tools for building virtual exhibitions and deploying it in online distant learning scenarios. PUE is also leading the research working group on Applications of VR in Entertainment and Culture in the in the 6th FP NoE INTUITION.
